Because IRIS gets involved in research and training!A full time statistician allows the IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic (IOC) to track the results of every surgery and follow up examination in order to constantly check our laser's accuracy and maintain our exacting standards. We are the only privately operated facility to receive the green light for a health protection branch study which is being conducted on our presbyopia treatment. Trialing of diagnostic equipment is available to us because we are able to accurately track our results and publish them. The IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic, in affiliation with Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, is now offering a Residency Program for optometrists.
