The IRIS Challenge to Defeat Cancer
The IRIS Challenge to Defeat Cancer is a non-profit project that raised funds and donated them to two cancer research organizations (Jason Funds and CSSSM). The IRIS Challenge to Defeat Cancer was a cross country cycling trip, by a team of three individuals, including the President of IRIS The Visual Group Dr. Francis Jean, his brother Rémi Jean, and longtime friend Gérald Carrier. The trip began in Vancouver, BC on June 10, 2011 and ended in the hometown of the Jean family, Baie-Comeau, QC on August 6, 2011. The team cycled a total of 6000 kilometers.
IRIS is the official eyecare provider for Hockey Canada and Canada's Alpine Ski Teams. We take pride in our support of Canada's athletes. Our commitment reflects our heritage, and the passion of our people for sports and eyecare. IRIS is a Platinum Sponsor of Rogers Cup Tennis. The Rogers Cup is Canada's largest and most prestigious stop on the world professional tennis tour.

The IRIS Cycling Team
The IRIS Cycling Team was founded in 1999 by Claude Crépeau with the help of Dr. Francis Jean, Optometrist and President of IRIS The Visual Group. The IRIS Cycling Team promotes mountain and road cycling and throughout the year, they participate in multiple provincial and national competitions with support from IRIS. The team members share the same passion and spirit of competition and continue to grow in number every year.

IRIS is proud to sponsor Canada's top-ranked female tennis player, Aleksandra Wozniak. As one of Canada's most promising young stars on the world stage, we have been following her successes closely. Aleksandra recently cracked into the Top 30 best female tennis players.
IRIS Mundial IRIS Mundial organizes and funds volunteer missions of IRIS eyecare professionals to developing countries throughout the world where eyecare is unavailable to those most in need. We have helped thousands of children and adults with vital eye surgery, eye health treatments, and corrective eyewear. When you donate your eyewear to IRIS, we will clean, adjust, and repair them. Then we will find a fresh pair of eyes in a developing country to give them new life. It's our mission, for eyes in need.
Children's HOSPITAL
Each year, through the efforts of individual stores and staff, IRIS donates thousands of dollars to the leading Children's hospitals in BC and Alberta.
