Our story
In 1986, Dr. Francis Jean opened his first optometry practice in his hometown of Baie-Comeau, with a focus on offering quality eye care, services and products. He later founded the buying group Visual Group, inviting optometrists who shared his values to join him, leading to the creation of IRIS in 1990.
Since then, we have become the largest network of Optometrists, Opticians, and Ophthalmologists under the same banner in Canada, dedicated to improving Canadians' eye health standards.

IRIS Mundial
IRIS is committed to supporting IRIS Mundial, an organization comprising optometrists, opticians and ophthalmologists who volunteer eye health services to promote better vision in third world countries. an organization dedicated to fighting pediatric cancer. Through the CIBC
Charles-Bruneau Tour, IRIS organizes fundraising events to support pediatric
