2025 OPERATION SANTA CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. CONTEST IS VOID IN WHOLE OR PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. SEE ELIGIBILITY SECTION BELOW FOR FURTHER DETAILS. TO COMPLETE YOUR ENTRY, YOU MUST READ AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS. PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES. ALL DOLLAR AMOUNTS ARE IN CANADIAN FUNDS ($CDN) UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
The Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest in whole or in part in the event that an event, error or any human intervention occurs WHICH WOULD corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or The course of the contest as provided in these rules, which are subject to the approval by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required. - CONTEST PERIOD: - The Contest begins November 1, 2025 at 9:00 AM (EST) and ends on December 31, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM (EST) (the "Contest Closing Date").
- HOW TO ENTER:
Only one (1) entry per person per CFOne Card number.
No purchase necessary. After registering for IRIS Advantages program, your name will be automatically entered into the contest. A contest participant may only use one email address (which must be valid) to register via the Registration Form. Only one (1) participant per Registration. Only one (1) Entry for the duration of the Contest. One (1) same email address cannot be used by more than one participant. Follow the instructions to confirm that you are eligible and that you have read and agree to abide by the entry rules.
- DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIZE
IRIS Certificate redeemable for five hundred dollars ($500*) worth of products such as glasses with prescription lenses, sunglasses or contact lenses. Valid in all IRIS stores in Canada. Not transferable in dollars or gift cards. The certificates are not applicable to the cost of professional services and procedures. Must be claimed before December 31, 2026.
Prize is non-transferable. Winner must provide their full name, address, phone number and CFOne number to validate their eligibility. Prize must be claimed by December 31, 2026 unless an extension is requested in writing (email) to iris advantage advantage@iris.ca
- WINNER SELECTION
On Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Contest Organizers' office, a random selection of an entry will be made from to determine the winner. The winner will be contacted by IRIS, either by email or by phone. During this conversation, a mathematical question will be asked. The selected person must respond without any assistance, in a limited time. Failure to comply with one of the conditions mentioned in the above paragraph or any other condition provided for in these participation rules, the participation of the selected person will be canceled and if time permits, a new selection for this prize will be made in accordance with these rules until a participant has been selected and declared as a winner.
- ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to anyone residing in Canada in the provinces of Quebec, New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, aged 18 and over, as of the date of entry into the contest. Employees, agents and representatives of the Contest Organizers, their IRIS sponsor, their affiliated companies and agencies, their advertising and promotion agencies, partners, prize suppliers, materials and services related to this contest, or any other stakeholder directly related to the holding of this contest are excluded as well as members of their immediate family. For the purposes hereof, "immediate family" means the father, mother, brothers, sisters, children, legal or common-law partner and all persons with whom these employees, agents and representatives are domiciled.
- PRIZE CLAIM
In order to be declared a winner, any person selected must:
- be contacted by the Contest Organizers within 15 days of the random selection; and
- correctly answer the mathematical question appearing on the declaration and liability exemption form sent by the Contest Organizers; and
- Failure to comply with one of the conditions mentioned in the above paragraph or any other condition provided in these participation rules, the participation of the selected person will be cancelled and if time permits, a new selection for this prize will be carried out in accordance with these rules until a participant is selected and declared a winner, without affecting the order of allocation of the other prizes.
- Within 15 days of receipt of the duly completed and signed Declaration Form, the Contest Organizers will inform any winner of the manner in which they can take possession of their prize.
- TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any person or to cancel one or more entries of any person participating in this contest or attempting to participate by a means contrary to these rules or likely to be unfair to other contestants (ex. use of Entries obtained from unauthorized sources, entries exceeding the allowable limit, hacking, etc.). This person could be referred to the competent judicial authorities.
- Any contestant who is selected at random in this contest and who does not meet the eligibility conditions will be automatically disqualified and another random selection will be made to select a winner. Any winner who does not comply with these eligibility conditions must inform the Contest Organizers as soon as they are contacted.
- Any prize must be accepted as described in these rules and may not be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize or be exchanged in part or in whole for money, subject to what is provided for in the paragraph below.
- In the event that it is impossible, difficult and/or more expensive for the Contest Organizers to award a prize (or a portion of the prize) as described in these rules, they reserve the right to 'award a prize (or a portion of a prize) of the same nature and of equivalent value or, at their sole discretion, the value of the prize (or portion of the prize) indicated in the cash settlement.
- The refusal of a randomly selected person to accept a prize under the terms of these rules releases the Contest Organizers from any obligation related to this prize towards that person.
- Any person selected releases the Contest Organizers, their IRIS sponsor, their respective affiliates and divisions and any other legal person of their respective corporate group, their advertising and promotion agencies, their shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives (hereinafter referred to as the “Beneficiaries”) of any liability in relation to any damage they may suffer as a result of the acceptance or use of its prize. In order to be declared a winner and prior to obtaining their prize, any person selected agrees to sign a Declaration Form to this effect, if required.
- The Beneficiaries are not responsible for the malfunction of any computer component, any software or any communication line, for any faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible or erased transmission by any computer or any network, and which may limit the possibility or prevent any person from participating in the contest. The Beneficiaries also disclaim any liability for any damage or loss that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any Internet page, any software or any form and by the transmission of any information for participation in the contest.
- The Beneficiaries do not guarantee in any way that the website will be accessible or functional without interruption during the Contest Period or that it will be free from any error.
- The Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest in whole or in part in the event of an event, error or any human intervention that may corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or running of the contest as provided for in these rules, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux from Quebec, if required.
- In the event that the computer system is unable to record all contest entries during the Contest Period for any reason whatsoever, or if participation in the contest should end in its entirety or in part before the end date provided for in these rules, the Contest Organizers will make a random selection from among the entries duly registered during the Contest Period or, if necessary, until the date of the event that ended the participation of the contest.
- In any case, the Beneficiaries, the suppliers of products or services linked to this contest may not be required to award more prizes than those indicated in these regulations or to award prizes other than in accordance with these regulations
- The Beneficiaries will not assume any liability of any kind whatsoever in all cases where their inability to act results from an event or situation beyond their control or from a strike, lock-out or any other labour dispute in their establishments or in the establishments of organizations or companies whose services are used for the holding of this contest.
- By participating or attempting to participate in this contest, any person releases the Beneficiaries from any liability for any damage they may suffer as a result of their participation or attempt to participate in the contest.
- By participating in this contest, any winner authorizes the Contest Organizers and their representatives to use, if required, their name, photograph, image, declaration relating to the prize, place of residence and/or voice without any form of remuneration and at their discretion and without limit as to the period of use, in all media and on a worldwide scale, for advertising purposes or for any other purpose deemed relevant. A declaration to this effect will be included in the Declaration Form.
- No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with entrants in connection with this contest except with those selected for a prize.
- Personal information collected from entrants in this contest will be used only for the administration of this contest. No communication, commercial or otherwise, unrelated to this contest will be sent to a participant, unless that participant expressly authorizes it.
- Any decision of the Contest Organizers or their representatives relating to this contest is final and without appeal, subject to any decision of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec in relation to any matter within its jurisdiction.
- For persons residing in Quebec, a dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
- For the purposes of these rules, the participant is the person whose name appears on the Registration Form. It is to this person that the mathematical skill-testing question will be asked and to whom the prize will be awarded if selected and declared the winner.
- If any paragraph of these rules is declared or found to be illegal, unenforceable, or void by a competent court, then that paragraph will be considered void, but all other paragraphs which are not affected will be applied to the extent permitted by law.
- This contest is subject to all applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations.
