The IRIS and IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic team is proud to have taken part in two major events bringing together Quebec’s optometry community: Vision 2025 and the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the University of Montreal’s School of Optometry.
A notable presence at Salon Vision
Our participation in Salon Vision was a resounding success. Sharing a booth with the IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic, we had the pleasure of meeting passionate optometrists and discussing technological innovations, our entrepreneurship-focused business model, and the various alternatives available in refractive surgery.
These rich and inspiring discussions remind us how essential partnerships between optometrists, opticians, and ophthalmologists are to advancing eye care in Quebec.
A highlight: Career Day
We also took part in Career Day, a great opportunity to talk with the next generation of optometrists. Students were able to discover the many opportunities available within the IRIS network, both in rural and urban areas, and talk with passionate professionals who shared their experiences in the field.
Celebrating 100 years of history and the future
At the same time, our presence at the IRIS lounge during the centennial celebrations of the University of Montreal's School of Optometry was a special moment. This welcoming meeting place brought together optometrists from different cohorts, from all corners of Quebec.
We were delighted to reconnect with former colleagues, greet our partners, and celebrate a century of scientific advancement, research, and commitment to visual health.
A future to build together
These events were a wonderful opportunity for IRIS to reaffirm our commitment to the profession, innovation, and the training of future optometrists. We leave inspired by the exchanges, motivated by the passion of our peers, and more convinced than ever that the future of optometry is built together.
