The first Oliver Peoples designs were inspired by a collection of American-made vintage eyewear purchased by the brand's founders in the late 1980s.

In contrast, the early Oliver Peoples collections were classic, timeless styles in a range of natural tortoiseshell hues, with understated branding and subtle details.

Each Oliver Peoples frame is handcrafted with careful attention to detail, sculpting and refining materials to achieve a balanced and refined final product. Each frame is drummed and polished and finally hand-fitted, carefully referencing the original design created in the West Hollywood design studio.
