For the past 12 years, IRIS has been a proud partner of IRIS Mundial, a non-profit organization that helps thousands of people see the world better. Throughout the month of February, the IRIS team members across Canada, informed their patients about the mission of IRIS Mundial in order to encourage them to buy glasses during this particular month. For many years now, IRIS has been committed to donating $10 per pair of glasses sold during the month of February, and the IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic pledges to donate $50 for each surgery performed during this period.
It is with great pride that we can say that the sum of $81,670 has been donated to IRIS Mundial! Of this amount, $77, 270 came from the IRIS stores across Canada and $4,400 was donated by the IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic.
Since 2008, IRIS has donated nearly $1,112,800 to IRIS Mundial, which has helped more than 90,000 people around the world. Many IRIS team members, Opticians and Optometrists also took part in the organization's 21 missions to developing countries.
We would like to thank all the IRIS team members who support the cause of IRIS Mundial year after year by participating in the missions, repairing and organizing the glasses that are collected in stores and by informing their patients about IRIS Mundial’s mission.
