The designer surprised the fashion world with full, puffy skirts cut at mid-calf, frills and a cinched waist. Dior's clothes are a hymn to femininity and seduction. Although clothing was the initial essence of the House, for Christian Dior, perfume was essential. Thus, in 1947, he created the now timeless Miss Dior.
