Spider-man was born in 1962. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created him. Orphaned at six, Peter Parker was raised by his aunt and uncle, May and Benjamin Parker. A radioactive spider bites Peter following an experiment. He develops superpowers, including superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to "stick" to walls. When a burglar kills his uncle, Peter Parker, aka Spider-man, goes after the murderer. His vocation as a vigilante will be to fight crime and thus follow his uncle's words: "With great power comes great responsibility."
