Opened in 2007, IRIS Waterloo is definitely dear to our great family for many reasons. This clinic is the first store in Ontario to combine the practice of Opticians and Optometrists to work as a cohesive team for better patient care. One of its corporate partners and practising Optometrist, is Dr. Daryan Angle, the Vice-President of Business Development at IRIS the Visual Group. He played a singular and integral role in Ontario’s adoption of personalizing patient care. Dr. Angle’s efforts introduced the concept of collaborative eye care in Ontario, bringing Optometrists, Opticians and Ophthalmologists together under one brand. He provoked important changes regarding the legislation pertaining to the profession of optometry. By breaking down barriers within the optical industry, a huge opportunity was created for new Optometrists to develop business partnerships, working alongside skilled professionals.
This team is lucky to count among it a very passionate and experienced staff which includes, Darren Wilson (store manager), and Dr. Daniela Bugescu (Optometrist). They are also happy to work with Richard Casselli (Optician) who has brought significant value to their office, specializing in the practice of Orthokeratology. He’s been immensely successful in correcting nearsighted patients’ vision for the past 20 years.

They are also one of the few stores that carry the exclusive Robert Marc frames – a luxury brand imported from New York.
