At IRIS, we believe that the future of optometry lies in training, supporting and inspiring the next generation of eye health professionals. That's why we're proud to maintain a privileged relationship with Canada's two leading optometry schools: the University of Waterloo and the Université de Montréal.
A partnership for the future
For several years now, IRIS has been actively involved with optometry students, whether through its presence on campus, its financial support or the organization of enriching activities that go far beyond the classroom. These partnerships enable us not only to support the next generation of optometrists, but also to build concrete bridges between university training and the professional world.
Unique weekends combining training and the outdoors
One of the most popular ways for students to get in touch with our network is undoubtedly our IRIS weekends. These events combine training, conferences and outdoor activities, in a relaxed setting conducive to exchange.
Whether on the slopes, on a hike or around a campfire, these privileged moments enable students to meet senior management and IRIS professionals, learn more about the different career paths available in optometry and build lasting ties with mentors and colleagues.
A constant presence on campus
IRIS is also present at the very heart of universities. Our team regularly participates in student events, career fairs and conferences. We also offer financial support for student initiatives. Our objective is clear: to be an accessible, caring and committed partner in the academic careers of future optometrists.
A shared vision for a profession in constant evolution
We are convinced that supporting optometry students means investing in the quality of tomorrow's vision care. By working closely with the University of Waterloo and the Université de Montréal, IRIS is helping to shape a profession that's stronger, more compassionate, and focused on the future.
