The IRIS Gallery - An Event To Honour Two Foundations
IRIS pays it forward. Teleworking has become a reality for the whole IRIS head office team due to the pandemic. After much reflection, the president of IRIS, The Visual Group, Mr. Éric Babin, and his senior management team decided to transfer the activities of the IRIS head office located in Laval to the premises of the NewLook Vision Group, its parent company, in Ville Saint-Laurent. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the IRIS network.
Mr. Éric Babin and the IRIS team members are proud of Laval's original IRIS head office. It was located on the 12th floor of an art deco building. The windows, natural light and furnishings created a refined, human, visionary and authentic atmosphere that reflected the qualities and attributes of IRIS.
Dr. Francis Jean, the founder of IRIS, who passed away suddenly in 2014, had a great affection for the paintings that adorned the walls of the original IRIS headquarters. Dr. Francis Jean had each work of art placed with care in a specific location to best showcase it.
Mr. Éric Babin wishes to give a second life to the paintings and thus donate to two causes that Dr. Francis Jean had at heart: The School of Optometry of the University of Montreal and the Charles-Bruneau Foundation.
The paintings from the IRIS Gallery will be put up for sale in a virtual auction to be held online in the spring of 2022.
The auction will close with a unique event during which you will be allowed to admire the paintings, make a bid and, like IRIS, support two important causes.
Watch our Facebook page to participate in the virtual auction. You may be able to hang a bit of IRIS history on your wall.
