Simple Tips to prevent puffy eyes

Puffy eyes can be caused by a number of factors, including lack of sleep, water retention, allergies and poor circulation. Adopting an effective skincare routine can help prevent this problem and keep your eyes looking fresh and rested. Here are a few simple tips to incorporate into your daily routine.

Hydration and a balanced diet

Hydration is essential to reduce water retention and promote good blood circulation. Drink at least 1.5 to 2 liters of water a day, and limit your intake of salt, alcohol and caffeine, which can aggravate eyelid swelling.

Regular sleep and proper posture

Quality sleep is crucial to avoiding puffy eyes. Try to sleep at least 7-8 hours a night, and elevate your head with an extra pillow to promote lymphatic drainage.

Cold compress or chilled spoons

Apply a cold compress, cooled green tea bags or chilled spoons to your eyelids for a few minutes in the morning. The cold helps tighten blood vessels and reduce swelling.

Draining massage

A light massage around the eyes with your fingertips can help stimulate blood and lymph circulation. Use small circular movements from the inner to the outer corner of the eye.

Appropriate creams and treatments

Opt for an eye contour cream containing decongestant ingredients such as caffeine, aloe vera or cucumber extract. Gently pat in to avoid irritating the fragile skin around the eyes.

Protection against allergens

If you suffer from allergies, make sure you limit your exposure to allergens by regularly changing your bedding, using an air purifier and washing your face after exposure to dust or pollen.

Exercise your eyes

Simple exercises, such as blinking frequently or staring into the distance, can help relax eye muscles and improve circulation.

By adopting these habits, you'll be able to limit the appearance of puffy eyes and display a radiant look day after day!
